Announcements: Upcoming events for Palestine
Events on campus for Palestine:
This week we have a lot of events that revolve around fighting for Palestine as well as being informed on the long history of it and its resistance.
Picket and March Outside of Luddy:
First up, on Wednesday, Oct. 23, IUDC will have its very first picket and march in front of Luddy School of Informatics from 1-3 pm to continue resisting the university’s complicity in genocide, as well as demand for divestment from companies that enable the IOF’s gruesome actions in Gaza — such as Crane. Please show up to these pickets and marches for support or contact us on Signal if you would like to get further involved.
Snipers on the Roof: Reflecting on Dunn Meadow Encampment
Thursday, Oct. 24 in Ballantine room 310
PSC will be hosting an event at 6:30 pm on Thursday, Oct. 24. The room has changed from the Shreve Auditorium to Ballantine room 310, so please plan accordingly. It will give a platform for students and faculty alike to reflect and recount their stories during the encampment last spring. Please show up to have a better understanding of what happened at Dunn Meadow last spring and how it led us to where we are now.
Events off campus for Palestine:
Lastly, this week, on Saturday, Oct. 26, Al-Huda mosque in Fishers, Indiana is hosting an event titled “An American Reflection of Gaza: 76 years later…” It will be at 7 pm at Al Huda Mosque (12213 Lantern Rd, Fishers, IN 46038.) A member of PSC at IU Bloomington will be speaking, so show up in support! Make sure to scan the QR code in the graphic below to RSVP! Check out @alhudaindy on Instagram for further details.
Reminders:
Petition:
Make sure, if you have not already, to sign the IUDC petition that calls for IU to divest, disclose, resign, and reform.
